Fixo é de Quarteira, Algarve, e já perdeu a conta aos anos ligado ao graffiti.
Com um estilo clean e traços bem definidos, gosta de misturar o seu lettering com as personagens das antigas séries de animação.
Apesar de preferir pintar com os seus, não se nega a uma pintura com os writers da nova geração, a quem aconselha que o façam por gosto e amor ao movimento, que nunca desistam e se foquem nos objetivos e que cumpram o trajeto com afinco e vontade de aprender.
Quanto questionado sobre os seus planos, o writer referiu que tem vontade de começar a pintar fora do país (para espalhar a sua arte), de pintar a fachada de um edifício (para ver as suas peças numa escala maior) e de se dedicar mais à produção de characters e ilustração.
Para saberes um pouco mais sobre o writer, aqui tens a sua entrevista.
Qual o significado do teu tag?
Tal como o nome indica, tem o significado de ficar fixo, permanência, algo difícil de remover. Procurei também encontrar letras pouco usuais, como é o caso do F, do X ou do Q, quando pinto a variante Fiqso e que tem sido a que tenho usado com mais frequência nos últimos tempos.
A palavra em questão, quando a escolhi, deveu-se ao facto de ter um leque bastante variado de opções e variações de letras, tendo já pintado como Phyxo, Phyx, Fyxo ou Ficso, entre outras tantas disponíveis. É bom poder manter o mesmo tag mas ter tantas opções a nível de letras e dimensão de tag.
Tens formação em arte ?
Tenho, mas somente pelo facto de ter estudado artes durante o Ensino Secundário, nada mais que isso.
Quando começou o teu interesse pelo graffiti e quais foram as tuas influências na altura?
O meu interesse pelo graffiti começou na minha cidade natal (em Quarteira). No final dos anos 90 / início de 2000, tivemos um período de actividade bastante intensa e foi, mais ou menos, nessa altura em que me começo a mexer também.
Na altura, existia um writer em Quarteira, de seu nome Des (mais tarde, também veio a pintar Jam Play, José e Odeo), que era muito activo e tinha já bastante skill, tendo formado duas crews (DZB e a famosa USK). Na mesma altura, aparecem crews como os FAT e a DSK.
Então, as minhas primeiras influências foram o pessoal da minha terra e o que via feito por eles nas paredes. Depois do aparecimento de revistas portuguesas (como a subworld) passo a conhecer as cenas de inúmeros writers portugueses, dando destaque para os PRM (mais tarde WC), os SKTR, Fya, GVS, NCW, Stuck, Uber, Chef e, claro, os mestres (Od)Eith e Exas.
Como era a cena no graffiti quando começaste ?
Era bastante rudimentar, com poucos sítios onde comprar latas no Algarve, e o acesso à internet e ao que se fazia lá fora era pouco. Lá havia algum mais afortunado que tinha net e impressora em casa e que imprimia fotos de graffs estrangeiros que depois eram passadas religiosamente de mão em mão. Tal como as revistas que eram bastantes escassas. Se eu fosse à loja comprar uma magazine com um amigo meu, ele comprava uma e eu outra, ninguém comprava a mesma e, depois, trocávamos.
O material mais usual de pintura eram as Montana hardcore e os caps eram, basicamente, os que vinham com as latas, os quais estimávamos muito e, com sorte, comprávamos uns fats também .
A cena no Algarve, por essa altura, começa a crescer e começámos a ir pintar a outras terras e a socializar com outras crews. Por exemplo, Albufeira tinha já a DBK, AW, KDS e PSK, Olhão tinha a ADN, Faro tinha os Senado APK e Loulé tinha UPK. E estes são apenas alguns exemplos.
Por viver no Algarve e pelo facto de ser um local turístico, até mesmo na minha cidade (em Quarteira) tivemos a sorte de receber writers (tanto nacionais como internacionais) que vinham de férias de verão, tais como Mosaik , RAM, Obey, Dexa, Shimo, Third, IER, Gelb, Apfel, entre outros tantos vindo de países como Alemanha, França, Espanha, etc.
Quais são as tuas crews?
Sou da SRK (que significa Stay Rude Kids) da qual sou um dos membros fundadores, juntamente com o Okus, e também da Policromia.
Quais são os teus spots / cidades favoritas ?
Gosto de pintar na minha zona, principalmente na área da linha de comboio ou paredes legais. Mas gosto de viajar e onde vou deixo uma marca, sempre que possível.
Wall of fame, Street bombing ou Train bombing?
Faço Wall of Fame maioritariamente. Mas o maior respeito pelas outras duas vertentes. E acho que todos devemos ter, pois elas são as forças motrizes e originadoras de todo o movimento.
Preferes pintar sozinho ou em grupo?
Sempre que possível, com pessoal. Acho que o graffiti é uma experiência de partilha. Não só aprendes como torna o momento mais alegre e entusiasmante. E claro que ficam sempre histórias para mais tarde recordar.
Com quem gostas de pintar?
Eu sou uma pessoa bastante social e por isso gosto de pintar com pessoal novo, sempre que possível. Mas pintar com os teus é sempre a cereja no topo do bolo.
Como é o teu processo criativo e onde vais buscar as tuas inspirações?
O meu processo criativo, honestamente, é muito simples. Sempre adorei desenhar e ando sempre à procura de tempo para o fazer.
As minhas inspirações vêm do que me rodeia, seja a minha cidade, uma série de TV, um filme, uma linha numa música, uma situação que me chama a atenção, um momento entre pessoal amigo ou uma peça de algum writer que me deixa com vontade de ir pintar mais uma peça.
Pintas com sketch ou freestyle?
Das duas formas, mas prefiro pintar de sketch. Gosto de ter as coisas programadas, desde as cores aos detalhes. Sou um pouco perfecionista.
Qual é a tua lata favorita?
A favorita de todas mesmo é a Montana, seja Black ou Gold. Mas também gosto muito das NBQ, das KOBRA e das CLASH.
O que toca na tua playlist quando pintas ?
100 % Raw hip-hop . Quem me conhece sabe que é verdade.
Qual é o teu 3 de writers portugueses?
Difícil, gosto de muitos. Temos, neste momento, muita qualidade por cá. Mas vá, sem ordem de preferência, BRAY, OBEY, EXAS.
E de writers estrangeiros?
Ainda mais difícil, são muitos mesmo. Mas posso dar como exemplo REVOK, DOES e SMASH.
Como descreves o panorama atual do graffiti em Portugal?
Muita coisa de qualidade, muita gente nova e as mais variadas vibes em qualquer das vertentes, seja Bombing, Trains, Street, Art Fame, Muralismo, ... Não interessa onde, acho que temos muito skill e que estamos cá para fazer mexer isto, seja a nível nacional ou internacional.
Qual é o teu melhor trabalho?
Ainda não o fiz, honestamente, e espero que continue assim. É isso que me faz querer sempre voltar à carga, pensar que fiz algo bom mas que ainda consigo elevar um pouco mais a minha fasquia pessoal. Por isso, sou um constante inconformado, em busca da minha Magnum Opus. Ahahahahah.
Quais são os teu planos / projetos futuros?
Pintar cada vez mais com novo pessoal e com os meus, viajar e levar a minha cena para fora o mais possível, sair totalmente da minha zona de conforto para me fazer evoluir e surpreender a mim próprio cada vez mais e, claro, a quem o meu trabalho agrade.

Fixo is from Quarteira, Algarve, and has lost count of his years linked to graffiti.
With a clean style and well-defined lines, he likes to mix his lettering with the characters from the old animation series.
Although he prefers to paint with his own, he does not refuse to paint with the writers of the new generation, whom he advises to do for the taste and love of the movement, that they never give up and focus on their goals and that they follow the path with determination and desire to learn.
When asked about his plans, the writer said he wanted to start painting abroad (to spread his art), to paint the facade of a building (to see his pieces on a larger scale) and to dedicate himself more to the production of characters and illustration.

What is the meaning of your tag? As the name implies, it has the meaning of staying fixed, permanence, something difficult to remove. I also tried to find unusual letters, such as the F, X or Q, when I paint the Fiqso variant, which has been the one I've used more often recently. The word in question, when I chose it, was due to the fact that it has a wide range of options and letter variations, having already painted as Phyxo, Phyx, Fyxo or Ficso, among many others available. It's nice to be able to keep the same tag but have so many options in terms of letters and tag dimension. Are you trained in art? I do, but only because I studied arts during high school, nothing more than that. When did you start your interest in graffiti and what were your influences at the time? My interest in graffiti started in my hometown (in Quarteira). In the late 90's / early 2000's we had a period of pretty intense activity and that was, more or less, when I started to move too. At the time, there was a writer in Quarteira, named Des (later, he also came to paint Jam Play, José and Odeo), who was very active and had a lot of skill, having formed two crews (DZB and the famous USK) . At the same time, crews like FAT and DSK appear. So, my first influences were the people from my zone and what I saw done by them on the walls. After the appearance of Portuguese magazines (such as subworld) I get to know the scenes of numerous Portuguese writers, highlighting the PRM (later WC), the SKTR, Fya, GVS, NCW, Stuck, Uber, Chef and, of course, the (Od)Eith and Exas masters.
What was the graffiti scene like when you started? It was quite rudimentary, with few places to buy cans in the Algarve, and the access to the internet and what was done outside was little. There was someone more fortunate there who had net and a printer at home and who printed photos of foreign graffs which were then passed religiously from hand to hand. Just like the magazines that were quite scarce. If I went to the store to buy a magazine with a friend of mine, he would buy one and I would buy another one, no one would buy the same one, and then we traded. The most common paint material was Montana hardcore and the caps were basically the ones that came with the cans, which we cherished a lot and, with luck, we bought some fats too. The scene in the Algarve, around that time, started to grow and we started to go to other lands to paint and socialize with other crews. For example, Albufeira already had DBK, AW, KDS and PSK, Olhão had ADN, Faro had Senado APK and Loulé had UPK. And these are just a few examples. Living in the Algarve and being a tourist place, even in my city (in Quarteira) we were lucky to receive writers (both national and international) who came from summer vacations, such as Mosaik, RAM, Obey, Dexa , Shimo, Third, IER, Gelb, Apfel, among many others coming from countries like Germany, France, Spain, etc. What are your crews? I'm from SRK (which means Stay Rude Kids) of which I'm one of the founding members, along with Okus, and also from Policromia. What are your favorite spots / cities? I like to paint in my area, especially in the area of the train tracks or legal walls. But I like to travel and where I go I leave a mark whenever possible.
Wall of fame, Street bombing or Train bombing? I mostly do Wall of Fame. But the greatest respect for the other two aspects. And I think we all should have, because they are the driving forces and originators of the whole movement.
Do you prefer to paint alone or in a group?
Whenever possible, with staff. I think graffiti is a sharing experience. Not only do you learn, but it makes the moment more joyful and exciting. Of course, there are always stories to remember later.
Who do you like to paint with?
I'm a very social person and that's why I like to paint with new people whenever possible. But painting with yours is always the icing on the cake.
How is your creative process and where do you get your inspirations?
My creative process is honestly very simple. I've always loved drawing and I'm always looking for time to do it.
My inspirations come from my surroundings, whether it's my city, a TV series, a movie, a line in a song, a situation that catches my attention, a moment between friends or a piece by a writer that leaves me with a need to go paint one more piece.
Do you paint with sketch or freestyle?
Either way, but I prefer sketch painting. I like to have things programmed, from the colors to the details. I'm a bit of a perfectionist.
What is your favorite can?
My favorite of all is Montana, whether it's Black or Gold. But I also really like NBQ, KOBRA and CLASH.
What plays on your playlist when you paint?
100% Raw hip-hop. Anyone who knows me knows it's true.
What is your 3 Portuguese writers?
Difficult, I like many. We have, at the moment, a lot of quality around here. But ok, in no order of preference, BRAY, OBEY, EXAS.
And foreign writers?
How would you describe the current panorama of graffiti in Portugal?
A lot of quality stuff, a lot of new people and the most varied vibes in any of the ways, be it Bombing, Trains, Street, Art Fame, Muralism, ... No matter where, I think we have a lot of skill and that we are here to make this move, whether nationally or internationally.
What is your best work? I haven't honestly done it yet, and I hope it stays that way. That's what makes me want to always come back to the charge, to think that I've done something good but that I still manage to raise my personal bar a little higher. That's why I'm a constant nonconformist, in search of my Magnum Opus. Ahahahahah. What are your future plans / projects? Painting more and more with new people and mine, traveling and taking my scene out as much as possible, leaving my comfort zone completely to make me evolve and surprise myself more and more and, of course, whoever my work pleases. Do you have a story you want to share? Nothing comes to my mind at the moment.
